Golden Oldies
This class is designed for individuals looking to maintain and improve their quality of life as they age. Improve strength, flexibility, balance, coordination, posture, endurance, and cognition, all in a fun and empowering environment while enjoying music from the 50s, 60s, and 70s: the Golden Oldies hits. This class is offered Monday, Wednesday, and Fridays at 10 am.
Begin With a warm-up
This 60 minute class begins with a warm up consisting of dynamic stretches and full body movements to reduce stiffness, improve flexibility, and warm up your joints.
The Main Event
The workout consists of two separate sections: full body movements and boxing combinations. All movements have various modifications such as seated or standing, and boxing on the heavy bag, or just the air (shadow boxing). No matter your physical ability, you can complete the workout safely and confidently.
Cool Down
Class ends with a cool down consisting of static stretching and breathing exercises to stabilize your heart rate and blood pressure, and provide adequate care to your muscles and joints.
